JOB DESCRIPTION
As we expand our Audio-Visual division, we are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Technician to join our team and play a key role in building and delivering high-quality audio-visual solutions to our clients.
The Audio-Visual Technician will install, configure, commission, program, and maintain commercial audio-visual systems including displays, projectors, sound systems, DSPs, control systems including Q-SYS, video conferencing platforms, and associated cabling and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on audio-visual experience, solid copper and fiber cabling expertise, experience programming modern control platforms, and a professional, customer focused approach.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Audio-Visual Technician at Pathway Systems, you will:
Work collaboratively as a team player with strong communication skills.
Deliver high-quality workmanship that meets Pathway Systems’ standards.
Install, terminate, test, and label audio visual cabling and system components.
Set up, align, and commission displays, projectors, screens, speakers, amplifiers, DSPs, mixers, microphones, and conferencing equipment.
Configure, program, and maintain AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, and Q-SYS.
Integrate video distribution, matrix switchers, video walls, and signal extenders or scalers.
Troubleshoot and repair AV systems, including audio issues, video quality problems, networked devices, and peripheral equipment (cameras, codecs, control panels).
Run and terminate copper and fiber optic cabling; install raceways, cable trays, and conduit as needed.
Operate company testing equipment to verify cabling and AV signals.
Assist with managing materials and equipment on projects.
Complete project documentation accurately and on time, including timesheets, material orders, and service reports.
Provide excellent on-site client service, including project handovers and user training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
About You

Asset Skills Required
Minimum 2 years of relevant audio-visual installation and service experience.
Familiarity with AV control platforms such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q-SYS (certification or additional training can be obtained once hired).
Experience & Technical Skills
Experience with copper (UTP, Cat5e/6/6a) and fiber optic cabling, including termination and testing.
Proper use of tools and equipment required to perform assigned tasks.
Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform twisting/turning movements while working on ladders and lifts.
Ability to follow company and site safety procedures.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and pass required background checks for customer sites.
